Clarence Blackmon reportedly called 911 when he had just returned home after spending several months in the hospital.

The 911 operator that spoke on the phone with Blackmon came to the 81-year-old man’s rescue after receiving his call for help, according to ABC News.

The operator, Marilyn Hinson, reportedly arrived with a box of groceries and even made him a few ham sandwiches before leaving. Blackmon called the ham sandwich Hinson had made “a feast,” according to the website AJC.com.

“It was like a little miracle ringing in my ears. I thought ‘Jesus, you answered all my prayers,’” stated Blackmon.

Hinson reportedly told him to call her if he needed anything.

“He was hungry. I’ve been hungry. A lot of people can’t say that, but I can, and I can’t stand for anyone to be hungry,” stated Hinson.

Two days after Hinson arrived at the elderly man’s house, food donations have reportedly been pouring in for Blackmon.

“They keep bringing it in by the armloads,” stated Blackmon.

“My cupboards are full. I’ve never had such prosperity.”

Blackmon has been receiving so much that that he’s reportedly called a food bank in order to share the “gifts” he’s been given.

“If I tried to consume all that’s in my kitchen right now, what’s in my cupboards, it would take me over a year,” stated Blackmon.
