E3 2015 is coming and so are more gameplay details of the open-world adventure "Mirror's Edge 2" --- but here's what's available so far including release date and other PS4-related updates.

EA's upcoming adventure game will be coming in 2016, and more details will be revealed this June during E3 2015 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. IGN reported "Mirror's Edge 2" to be among the games to make an appearance in the conference with even EA providing updates on what fans should expect come the event.

"'Mirror's Edge 2' will be a first-person action platformer, with focus on "parkour" or free-running to traverse the game's environments, reported in the same media. "The main character, Faith, will have a "broader move set" and some new abilities, such as being able to round corners while wall-running by grabbing onto pipes. She'll be able to make expanded use of her environment to take down enemies by leaping off walls and ledges to take them out in one blow."

Senior producer Sara Jansson revealed updates to Polygon during E3 2014 and said, "I wanted to let you know that the game is progressing nicely and I think you're going to love it. I know many of you probably wish we would show more of the game, but we're still pretty early in development and our passionate core 'Mirror's Edge' team is working full on to make the best game possible."

Almost a year after, no news of updates has been unleashed to fans, save for a possible appearance in the upcoming E3 2015. "Mirror's Edge 2" has been in development since 2015, presumably for next game consoles PS4 and Xbox One.

Meanwhile, Videogamer revealed the likelihood that "Mirror's Edge 2" release date will come by April next year. The report unleashed information from analysts pinpointing possible release dates for EA's upcoming games. "FY:16 is expected to feature incremental releases 'Mass Effect 4,' 'Mirror's Edge 2,' a new 'Need For Speed' game, and 'Star Wars: Battlefront', as well as meaningful re-orders for Battlefield Hardline, which launched in late Q4:15."
