"Hunter x Hunter" characters will be featured in "Puzzle & Dragons" game.

Anime News Network reported that the popular mobile game "Puzzle & Dragons" will collaborate with Yoshihiro Togashi's series to bring "Hunter x Hunter" characters to the game. The campaign is partly made to promote the one-year anniversary of the "Hunter x Hunter Battle AllStars" mobile game.

The campaign will run from Jul. 20 to Aug. 2. Gon Freecss, Killua Zoldyck, and Leorio will appear as new characters. "Puzzle & Dragons" will also feature the following "Hunter x Hunter" characters as gacha prizes: Gon, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika, Biscuit Krueger, Chrollo Lucilfer, Hisoka, Isaac Netero, and Genthru.

"Chimera Ant" enemies Meruem, Menthuthuyoupi, Shaiapouf, Neferpitou, Colt, Rammot, Leol, Hina, Zazan, and Pike will make their appearance in a special collaboration dungeon. "Hunter x Hunter" characters from the series' "Chimera Ant" arc such as Pitou, Pouf, Youpi and Meruem will be powerful villains in the game.

Furthermore, some of the "Hunter x Hunter" characters can be evolved into much powerful forms. Gon can morph into his older "Oath and Limitation" form. Killua's "God Speed" form and "Medical Student Leorio," using the move he used to punch Ging in the kisser during the 13th "Hunter Chairman Election" arc, will also be featured.

It was previously reported that Japanese bookstores have declared the "Hunter x Hunter" manga series as finished. Retailers are selling the 32 volumes of the series as a complete set for around 7,000 yen, or about $60.

BookOff and other Japanese bookstores may have been fed up with the unpredictable production of the manga. Its production was put on hold since last August due to the series creator's serious lower back pain issues.

"Hunter x Hunter" was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since Mar. 1998. As of Dec. 2012, there have been 340 chapters collected into 32 volumes by Shueisha. The manga series focuses on Gon Freecss, a young boy who discovered that his father is a world-renowned Hunter.
