While new and old characters are coming as filming continues for "Penny Dreadful" season 3, updates reveal that the next chapter won't just be around Vanessa Ives.
Latest news confirmed that production for "Penny Dreadful" season 3 has begun, and the cast and crew are already filming. DailyMail revealed that the "Penny Dreadful" star Evan Green was spotted filming in Dublin.
"Eva Green looked daunting as she swept through the streets of Dublin wearing an imposing costume while filming the third season of 'Penny Dreadful'," said the report. "The 35-year-old actress, who plays heroine Vanessa Ives in the series, donned a floor-sweeping black skirt, fitted black jacket and beige shirt."
The report also may have hinted that Eva Green's character, Vanessa Ives, could encounter more evil and possibly an even greater struggle as "Penny Dreadful" season 3 returns. Apart from the Victorian costume worn by Green during the filming of "Penny Dreadful" season 3, the actress was also spotted wearing a rather sickly look for make-up, something that is a staple on her character whenever she experiences the strength of evil around her.
"Eva's make-up was one of the standout points of the entire ensemble. The natural beauty was made to look drawn and unwell, with the help of lashing of white powder and daunting purple shadows drawn around her eyes," the report added.
Meanwhile, updates have also revealed that apart from focusing on the character of Vanessa Ives, "Penny Dreadful" season 3 will bring Josh Hartnett's character, Ethan Chandler into the spotlight.
MovieNewsGuide pointed out that while the previous "Penny Dreadful" seasons explored mostly the origin of evil in Vanessa Ives, season 3 might bring in the story behind Ethan Chandler's transformation come full moon.
"The upcoming series is intended to focus on Ethan, and how he became werewolf. It is speculated that the upcoming season will reveal the mystery."
Updates have also revealed that as previous characters are returning to "Penny Dreadful" season 3, new cast members are added as other age-old horror personalities join the series.
