"Frozen 2," cast, plot and release date rumors keep waiting fans afloat.
While there have been very limited information about the sequel, a lot of exciting speculations have already flooded the interwebs. One possible plot detail could include a rich backstory of Elsa's powers.
"A flashback might be a good move for the film: it would remind us of the sisters' connection and all the happy years they had together," Movie Pilot reported. "This would also give the writers the chance to build on Elsa's backstory, and why she had powers to begin with. Maybe we'll see more of the girls' parents, or other relatives: could these ice powers run in the family?"
"The appearance of young Elsa is really intriguing fans: Eva Bella, who voiced Elsa as a child in Frozen has revealed that she will also return for the sequel."
As new rumors suggested, it looks like a new character will be introduced in the upcoming movie, and he will be part of Elsa and Anna's family.
"Of course Anna and Elsa's parents did not die," director Chris Buck told MTV News. "Yes, there was a shipwreck, but they were at sea a little bit longer than we think they were because the mother was pregnant, and she gave birth on the boat, to a little boy."
"So in my little head, Anna and Elsa's brother is Tarzan - but on the other side of that island are surfing penguins, to tie in a non-Disney movie, 'Surfs Up.' That's my fun little world," he joked.
Because of this recent statement, the interwebs are starting to talk about the possibility. However, with the director mentioning the plot in jest, audiences shouldn't expect a Disney movie crossover just yet.
Meanwhile, previous "Frozen 2" plot, cast and release date updates dished on some major plot bombs and shared what Elsa and Anna will be facing in the new flick.
Buck told MTV News that they now have "an overall idea, a concept, which I think is a very strong one. I'm very excited about doing it."
