Nintendo NX fans might have to tighten their seatbelts because the console might not be released this 2016 because of all new specs.
According to Latinos Health, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima sent out a holiday message addressed to the company's shareholders over the weekend to confirm that Nintendo is indeed working on the new Nintendo NX console.
Reportedly, Kimishima stated that Nintendo is "currently developing a gaming platform codenamed 'NX' with a brand new concept."
Additionally, he explained that the new console will have users utilize skill on how they navigate the Nintendo IP.
"Our unique software-led hardware-software integrated business will continue to constitute the core business for Nintendo," Kimishima stated.
With that being said, hardcore game analysts predicted that the Nintendo NX will not be released this 2016.
"The NX won't come out in 2016. Nintendo has a history of announcing consoles in one year and launching the next and I don't see the NX as deviating from that pattern," Michael Pachter of Wedbush Securities shared.
David Cole of DFC Intelligence echoed Pachter's sentiments regarding Nintendo not releasing the NX this year.
"Nintendo learns from past mistakes and focuses on getting many developers on board with top-end content for a stellar launch," said Cole.
According to Vine Report, Nintendo NX is supposedly an upcoming release that would serve as the company's comeback in the console market. Rumors state that the NX will be a multi-platform device equipped with a controller. Users can have the ability to use it as a standalone console, too.
On the other hand, the Nintendo NX will not be a next generation Wii or Wii U, as per Parent Herald.
Kimishima stated that aside from not releasing the Nintendo NX this 2016, it might have totally different specs to that of the Wii and the Wii U. He said that the NX will give gamers a totally "new experience."
It was also previously reported that the company will release 10-12 million units in mid-2016, but apparently there is still no official statement from Nintendo yet and it looks like fans might wait a little longer.
