Jennifer Garner's divorce with Ben Affleck has yet to be finalized, but the "Dallas Buyers Club" actress is allegedly moving on from that failed relationship by dating former "Grey's Anatomy" star, Patrick Dempsey.
According to the latest report from OK! magazine, as shared by Fox News, Jennifer Garner, 43, and the 47-year-old Patrick Dempsey, more popularly known as McDreamy, have taken their friendship to another level.
"They've been friends for years," an alleged source claimed. "It was only natural for them to confide in each other. As soon as they started talking, the spark was evident to both of them. Jen was relieved - and excited."
This was the first time that Jennifer Garner and Patrick Dempsey were reported to be dating despite working together on the 2010 film, "Valentine's Day."
"They had great chemistry and it was obvious to everyone around," the insider added. "Patrick has been treating her like a queen. It's refreshing after Ben."
Back in June last year, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck announced their divorce in a statement released to the press.
"After much thought and careful consideration," the statement read. "We have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."
Later on, the blame was placed squarely on Ben Affleck after the rumor emerged that he had an affair with their kids' nanny, Christine Ouzounian. Another rumor surfaced claiming that the "Batman V Superman" star's gambling addiction was the reason for the divorce from Jennifer Garner.
Despite the divorce, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck made it a point to be friends with each other for the sake of their kids. In fact, the family spent the Christmas holidays together.
To date, Jennifer Garner and Patrick Dempsey have yet to respond to the dating rumors.
