The "Digimon Adventure tri." movie series kicked off November last year with a bang. Of course, since it's the 15th year anniversary of the much-loved anime series, the first (out of six) movies is dedicated to the reintroduction of characters.
The first iteration is titled "Digimon Adventure tri.: Reunion" and focuses on the lead character Taichi Yagami. User reviews of the first movie in Crunchy Roll have been mostly positive with 4.6 out of 5 stars as of this writing. Aside from the obligatory introduction of the characters, especially Taichi, it is a movie that pushes forward and makes you anticipate the next film.
Speaking of the next film, a report from Den of Geek indicates that the second iteration is just around the corner. The second film of the series will be titled "Determination" and should be available in DVD and Blu-ray April 2016. The movie will hit Japanese theaters in March and those eager to watch the movie as soon as it's released in Japan can do so through Crunchy Roll.
Aside from revealing the timeline for release stateside, Den of Geek also got hold of some type of film poster. Although the quality of the poster is less than desirable, characters are still discernable.
The forums on My Anime List lit up with the release of the poster as it indicates powerful digimons who apparently have already evolved and ready for battle. Among them Vikemon, Imperialdramon and Rosemon who could be seen the poster fighting.
Not much has been said about the upcoming movie but because it should be treated as part of the film series, the previous films provide a good idea on what will happen. The most interesting part of the previous film and should be noted as well in the upcoming iterations is the presence of Hackmon, Alphamon as well as the infected digimons. These characters will definitely have something to offer in the next films.
