Christina Aguilera may reportedly be doing a Britney Spears when it came to her social media life news.
According to a report on NewNowNext, the "Genie In A Bottle" singer's Instagram feed has gone into some changes over the past few months. Unlike the past year when the 35-year-old New York-native only posted glimpses of her on the "The Voice" set and her glamorous life, these past few weeks, her posts have become more personal.
Among those posts that got attention were a photo in front of a Christmas as she tried to blast rumors of her toppling a tree at Seth MacFarlane's holiday bash, a football game, a kiss in the rain with her husband Matt Rutler, her pet and a most recently a selfie.
Britney Spears' Instagram account has long been filled with the mentioned kinds of posts but it might have just been a coincidence that Christina Aguilera happened to have become more personal with her news updates and shares lately. NewNowNext even mentioned that the move might just be a tease to the "Beautiful" singer's much-awaited album.
As told in the poll on Idolator, Xtina's next new music was among those much-anticipated for 2016. She ranked third place with 19,443 votes. Lady Gaga was in second place while Britney Spears was at the top.
A lot of fans have been waiting for news about Christina Aguilera's new album since 2012 but in a recent interview she only said that she's taking her time to work on it.
"I have been working on my album and I am really excited for fans to hear it," the "Burlesque" actress explained to Forbes. "For me it's important to take my time with music, and really put my heart into all my albums."
Bustle though has found some clue as to what the new music may sound like.
Citing a report from The New York Times, it was mentioned that Xtina has picked some songs that where written by Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels. Neither the specific tracks that the "The Voice" judge picked nor if they have actually been recorded by Aguilera was mentioned in the report.
