Will parental guidance be required as the release date for "Samurai Jack" reboot arrives this year?
Genndy Tartakovsky confirmed the reboot of the much-loved animated TV series "Samurai Jack" and that a release date is coming sooner than expected. A report by EW revealed that "Samurai Jack" fans won't be waiting for a long while to get their favorite sword-wielding back on the tube.
"The cartoon about a time-displaced samurai will return to TV in 2016," said the report. "According to Adult Swim, the new show is currently in production at Cartoon Network Studios in Los Angeles, once again under the direction of Tartakovsky. The move to Adult Swim suggests the new show may be even darker and more violent than the first iteration," it pointed out.
Meanwhile, previous reports have already pointed out that while "Samurai Jack" reboot could possibly turn out to be more violent than its predecessor, the animated TV series could be released and not entirely created for children. While of course the animated series will be first and foremost a cartoon, the content and possible graphic violence could be for the much older kids if not under parents' supervision during viewing.
On "Samurai Jack" reboot release date, nothing has been specified in terms of actual premiere, but TheVerge pointed out simply a 2016 release date. In a report made last year, "Adult Swim just announced that Genndy Tartakovsky, the animator behind the acclaimed series as well as favorites like Dexter's Laboratory and the animated 'Star Wars: Clone Wars' microseries, is back to produce a new season that will land on Toonami in 2016."
Meanwhile, Nerdist pointed out a possible jump-off point as "Samurai Jack" reboot release date arrives this year. According to the speculation, "The big thing with this reboot, over 10 years after it ended, is that 'Samurai Jack' was canceled but the storyline itself never resolved."
Will Samurai Jack finally defeat Aku this time around? The reboot's release date is set this year.
