Miley Cyrus released a strange album for free in 2015 named, "Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz," but fans are looking forward to more videos, another world tour and a brand new studio album for 2016, according to HTF.
In 2015, Cyrus hosted an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in Los Angeles and released that very same night, her "Dead Petz" album for free on SoundCloud.
The album is a psychedelic project and is self-released, which helped her in the wake of the VMA's, boost her numbers. Her viewers on YouTube hiked to a 2,300 percent spike a week before the album's release, a 54 percent gain on Instagram and Twitter up by 17 percent, ending with a total of 22.6 million followers then, revealed Billboard.
It must be noted though that SoundCloud does not count into Billboard's streaming tallies. The move also gave the artist solid live statistics, but may not be effective for her label RCA, who is looking forward to a new Miley Cyrus album, probably for 2016.
"If you stripped away the clothes, the antics, the shtick and looked at the person standing there, you'd see an immensely gifted artist," says radio personality Chris Booker of Los Angeles' KAMP-FM. "She can sing better than 75 percent of the acts on pop radio. She can act effortlessly, she's charming and her presence is off of the charts."
Rumors of Miley Cyrus' new album and another world tour in 2016 continue to circulate on the Internet. The singer's representatives are keeping tight-lipped.
Reports have been going around that the actress is finally back in the recording studio and that the "We Can't Stop" singer is planning a worldwide tour at the end of 2017, reported MediaMass.
Booker added that Cyrus is an artist for the 21st century who may look a little different than what people are used to.
Meanwhile, it seems that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are giving their five-year-off-and-on romance another try. It seems that the two had a hard time moving on from each other and recently spent the holidays together in Australia.
"They've been talking for a while, and now they're seeing each other again," says a Us Weekly insider. "They are seeing where it goes before officially getting back together."
Cyrus and Hemsworth are not engaged but the insider says the two "are in a passionate phase of reconnecting."
