Chapter 945 of the hit manga detective series "Detective Conan" was recently released online courtesy of Manga Happy.
The recent chapter is a new case and this time, the gang of kid detectives was tasked to assist Yumi in finding the envelope left by Shuukichi. But before discussing the case further and the possible spoilers, a bit of recap to learn more about the case.
The chapter starts with Yumi and Miwako going out and enjoying the day. Little did they notice that Shuukichi (Yumi's boyfriend) is prominently displayed on the large screen playing Shogi and aiming to maintain the crown as "Meijin."
Yumi then noticed that the game is actually the best of seven and Shuukichi remarked she has to open the envelope he gave her after the seventh game. Yumi used the envelope as the bookmark on a magazine that she threw away. They immediately hurried to the trash corner and found nothing.
This is where Conan and the gang appear where they inform Yumi and Miwako that the manager probably has the magazine because it is not trash day. They immediately went back to Yumi's place where they found the magazines - but not the bookmark.
The group visited the manager where he informs them that the envelope actually contains a marriage license. The manager then revealed that Shuukichi was once defeated by the manager and eventually grew into one of the best in the country.
However, he will not willingly give up the envelope. It is up to the gang to find clues on where to find the clues quick. They opened the manager's computer and it's locked with a password. They also found a drawing that seems to offer a clue for the computer's password.
The recent chapter of "Detective Conan" is considerably tame compared to their past cases. User MoonRaven in DCTP Forums immediately notices the focus on the story it's the "one without a murder."
As a detective story, the clues are naturally revealed for readers to interpret. User Chekhov MacGuffin from Detective Conan World points to the paper puzzle they found as well as possible places to look for in his small flat.
The case could be short (two to three chapters) but it could be interesting for the kid detectives to solve small crimes using their smarts. The paper puzzle alone should get them busy for a while without having to deal with murder or any dangerous situations.
