We are only counting days before "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice" hits the big screen, which also sets the debut of Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman before she gets a movie of her own.
Definitely one of the fans are interested about Wonder Woman is what the super heroine can offer, especially the powers she will be unleashing in "Batman V Superman," her own "Wonder Woman" and the "Justice League" films. Will she have the classic "Lasso of Truth" and the indestructible bracelets?
In the latest issue of Empire magazine for "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice," Deborah Snyder teased about the powers of Wonder Woman, saying (via Cosmic Book News), "Gadot confirms when it comes to inborn talent, her metahuman heals quickly, jumps to heights where she is almost flying and can really pack a punch."
"She is also over 5,000 years old, 'Because she's seen it all,' Gadot said in the same Empire feature. "She has seen what humans can do, so it was very hard for her to come back and fight."
Director Zack Snyder also shared a handful information. He said (via Bam! Smack! Pow!), "Her sexuality is part of her power, but she is also a feminist icon."
"Gender has been a hot topic, so it is very timely to bring her back. The way we have approached it, especially in the stand alone movie, that is definitely there. Looking back and doing an origin story-and it is a period piece-see the role of women through history. There is a great source of humor in that now. It is so unbelievable you can't even fathom it. You are still making a statement, but having some fun with it," Snyder added.
Wonder Woman is described to be "beautiful as Aphrodite, wise as Athena, swifter than Hermes and stronger than Hercules," making her the strongest among the Amazons. In times of great need, she can remove her bracelets and augment her power ten-folds, although it may make her insane in the process. She also has mental and psychic abilities, like ESP, astral projection and telepathy.
