Season 2 of "Attack On Titan" release date has changed again?

The long-awaited release date of the sequel series has been delayed once again. While it may take a while longer, Funimation has released a new preview to tease fans of what can be expected in season 2.

"The manga series is 60% finished," stated the editor of Hajime Isayama, creator of the series on Design & Trend. "This means the series has a total of 27 volumes left."

"The first season for the anime adaption covered 34 chapters of the manga, including four story arcs. The manga is currently only two story arcs ahead of where the anime left off. Isayama noted that the anime would not release until it was four arcs ahead of the season two of the anime."

Perhaps the delay of the second season is because the studio doesn't want season 2 of "Attack On Titan" to be the last. If they do put out a series anytime soon, then there would be an even longer period of waiting for the next season. So the release date won't be happening in February, as speculated by fans.

The preview is almost three minutes long and shows a new discovery made by the Scouting Legion. Peeking from inside the tall towering walls was the face of a titan. Everyone was shocked to see that the very thing they were fighting against was within the only thing defending them from the outside world.

The humanoid giant didn't seem to move but Pastor Nick wasn't going to take any chances and ordered the titan to be shielded from the sunlight. Squad Leader Hanji did as she was told however she felt that the pastor was keeping something from her and threatened to get an answer out of him.

Unfortunately, the threat didn't work, she let him go and asked the pastor, "Are all of these walls completely filled with titans?"

The "Attack On Titan" preview ended abruptly raising a lot of questions for the events that would be taking place in season 2.

In other news, the video game of the popular anime series will be released in Japan on Feb.18, 2016, as reported by Vine Report, and will have an international release later this year. It will be released on PlayStation 3, PS4 and PS Vita.
