The latest chapter of the popular manga and anime TV series continues the recon work of Polar Star Dorm members with varying degree of success. Before any spoilers and predictions, here's a recap of the latest events.
The chosen 2nd-year student representing central was confronted by Takumi and Soma. Meanwhile, Venue C is already done with their shokugekis as central has defeated every challenger. Based on their recon work, the group's leader is 6th seat elite 10 member Kinokuni Nene. A member of central in Venue D called Nene to inquire about their status.
Takumi and Soma continue to confront with one of the chefs representing central. It turns out that the outspoken member of the group is Kusunoki Rentarou with Shige is his powerful teammate, the rest of the group members are Yanai Mea and Kofuru Rui.
Since the duo is not officially part of any research club, they are not included in the shokugeki. However someone else came out of the stadium; Nakiri Alice and Kurokiba Ryou. It turns out that Alice actually won the utensils and the research club which she now owns through cook off with the society.
The chapter ends with a match set for Kurokiba Ryou and Kusunoki Rentarou.
Fan speculations and predictions online look forward to Ryou's win against Rentarou. According to Reddit user thegreaterfool714, "Ryou is going to win this and to those who say that Rentarou needs to beat Ryou to show how powerful is most likely wrong... Ryou, Alice, and Hayama are all around Soma's level of cooking and none of these three have had a big win in a while. If Soma can take out Eizan I wholeheartedly believe that Ryou can beat Rentarou."
