Charlie Hunnam and "Sons Of Anarchy" have remained synonymous with each other despite being over for years now. Amid his latest movie projects though, that actor apparently continues to be shadowed by the FX TV series.

As reported by the Inquisitr, the English actor apparently has been having a hard time making a real mark in Hollywood since crossing over from the small screen.

The actor though has been offered a lot of projects but seemingly has been having a hard time dealing with all of them. He has even been dropping out of several big screen roles in the past years.

It can be remembered that the 35-year-old actor was announced to take on Christian Grey for "Fifty Shades" but then backed out of the project. He was also supposed to star opposite Rosamund Pike for "The Mountain Between Us" but now according to The Hollywood Reporter, the role was being offered to Idris Alba.

Now, there were also rumors that "Sons of Anarchy" star Charlie Hunnam may be out of the "Pacific Rim 2" movie as he has been targeting other roles such as the Green Arrow. Despite the gossip, Guillermo del Toro though has insisted last year that Hunnam was still very much part of the project.

"No, no, no, Charlie Day has a great part but so does Charlie Hunnam," del Toro told reporters as quoted by Slashfilm. "I think that everybody or most everybody that survived is back. The rest we killed. We killed half the cast."

Amid all the speculation about Charlie Hunnam's movie star status struggle, the actor did admit back in May 2015 that he has moved on from "Sons of Anarchy" and portraying Jax Teller.

"Having to say goodbye to that character was really heartbreaking for me," he told Elle Canada. "I have lost friends and family members before, and that feeling of bereavement-although this wasn't as intense it was that same feeling. I held it in my heart for about a month after filming ended. I said a lot of silent goodbyes to Jax, but ultimately there was no room left for him in my life, so I had to let him go."
