The health of your children determines their performance in class. Healthy children are better placed in class than unhealthy children. Children who get poor nutrition, avoid exercise and live an unhealthy lifestyle tend to perform poorly.

Research shows that healthy children perform well in class, attend classes regularly and behave well in school. An unhealthy child cannot perform well because he or she is usually focused on his or her health than academic performance.

Poor health leads to reduced physical and mental capabilities in the long run. It's the duty of both parents and teachers to ensure that   are healthy all the time. Health and learning will always go hand in hand.

A point on health

Investing in the health of children will lead to improved productivity and performance in almost everything. Teachers and parents should not consider physical exercise and nutrition as a distraction from academics but as a long-term investment. Here are some of the best ways you can demonstrate the importance of education and health for your child.

1. Increase play time

Children love playing outside. One of the best ways to improve the health of your child is to spend more time with him or her outdoors. While watching TV and playing computer games might be fun and engaging, it's important to go outside regularly.

Playing outside decreases the risk of obesity, heart diseases and anxiety. Playing with your child will enhance your relationship and improve the physical and mental health of your child. Children who play outside have also been reported to have high levels of creativity and imagination which positively affects their academic performance. Children who are sick can always get writing help for students until they recover.

2. Dental care

Taking good care of the child's teeth will help him or her bite and chew food properly. Dental care also affects how your child communicates with others. Chewing food properly will eliminate most of digestion issues affecting children today.

Also, your child's success is dependent on how clearly he or she can communicate with others. The best way to take care of your child's teeth is by ensuring he or she brushes his or her teeth at least twice a day.

Brushing teeth properly eliminates cavities and plaque which affect most children today. When the teeth are damaged, it will be very expensive to treat or replace the lost teeth. It's important to visit a dentist regularly for checkups.

3. Serve healthy foods

Children love sugary foods. And so do many adults. Sugary foods make our mouths joyful and the moment blissful. However, they destroy our bodies in the long run. The last thing you want to do is have to rush your child to hospital over something you could have controlled.

It's important for children to eat foods rich in nutrients because their bodies are growing and developing rapidly. A nutritional meal will translate to a healthy body and mind. Fruits and vegetables are some of the best foods to serve your children.

You can also shape the foods you serve them like cartoons to make them more appealing. Rewarding your children when they consume foods packed with nutrients will improve their health in the long run.

4. Serve breakfast every day

With our busy lifestyle, most people overlook breakfast to save time. Children need to take breakfast every single day. At night, your body continues carrying out its biological processes. When you wake up in the morning, your body needs some fuel to keep you energized during the day.

You don't need to prepare a complicated recipe. A few slice of bread with a boiled egg and fruits will be enough to get you started for the day. The same applies to your child. You should never allow him or her to go to school without having breakfast.

Conclusion

We've discussed the effect of health on education. Healthy children will always perform better compared to unhealthy children. It's the responsibility of parents and teacher to improve a child's health. Some of the best ways to improve a child's health include increasing play time.

Play time does not only include playing video games but also playing outside. Playing outside enhances physical agility and mental alertness. The type of food you serve will also play a vital role in improving the health of your child. Fruits and vegetables are usually the best. Also, take care of your child's dental health because it affects very many crucial aspects of life.
