Rhinoplasty a.k.a. nose job or nose reshaping is one of the hardest plastic operations to do. Because of this, if the patients don't choose a good surgeon, they may have a deformed nose.

The end result may not be 100% the desired result. But a very good surgeon can come very close to that result. So patients need to look at the experience of the surgeon and look at the old patients photos.

Patients should have realistic expectations. Many misshapen noses have become very good looking noses. However, the surgeon can only delivery realistic results.

A nose shown(photo) to the surgeon may be done on the patient BUT because the face is different, the nose may not look like it does on the photo.

Every good nose job results have one common thing, a natural look. The best result in a rhinoplasty would be to have a nose that is in balance with everything else on the face.

Even if patients go to the best plastic surgeon in the world, they may not get a good result. There are reasons such as, not having a good tissue, not healing properly, bad genes, especially if the patient has a weak cartilage and poor skin can also stop the patient from receiving the result they desire.

If the patient has a well-balanced and strong nasal skeleton, then they can have permanent beauty and function. Changing the shape of the nose by taking out a lot of tip cartilage incapacitates the skeletal support. This can result in deformity.

After operation, there will be swelling. Because of this, patients can't really see the end result. A result that may be very good, may not look good at first because of the swelling. Patients need to be patient.

Some patients need a revision to touch up. This isn't abnormal. Surgeons sometimes do tell their patients that they could need it. But in some cases, complex revision nose job is ok to fix a crooked nose. Revision nose job or sometimes called secondary rhinoplasty, is much more harder to do and more costly.

Because of the advancement in technology especially for the health industry, rhinoplasty can be a bit more predictable now. However, patients need to check the doctors properly before going through with the surgery.
