Jamie Ogg was declared dead when he was born prematurely in 2010 while his twin, Emily, survived.

However, the little boy came back to life when his mom, Kate Ogg, held him in her arms along with his father, David, according to the NY Daily News.

“If we had let the doctor walk out of the room with him, Jamie would have been dead,” stated Ogg.

Jamie was a miracle baby before he was even born. Kate and David were trying for a baby for three years before Kate got pregnant with twins, according to the Irish Examiner.

Kate reportedly went into labor early after just 26 weeks of being pregnant.

Jamie was reportedly born two minutes before Emily.

“They were both born in their sac, but Jamie didn’t make a noise when they tore it open. Emily let out a big wail,” Kate told the Daily Mail.

Jamie’s heart rate and breathing slowed and after 20 minutes, doctors reportedly told the new parents he wouldn’t be able to make it.

“I wanted as much body heat around this baby as possible because he was so cold and I wanted him to be warm and alive,” stated Kate.

She continued, “We put his skin against my skin, and then I just held him, close to my heart I moved his head so that his ear would be able to hear my heart beating. And cried and cried.”

As his parents cried, Jamie reportedly started to move, opened his eyes and grabbed his dad’s finger.

“He suddenly gasped,” stated Kate.

She added, “Then he opened his eyes. He was breathing and grabbing Dave’s finger.”

Jamie and Emily are now preparing to celebrate their fifth birthday later this month. Jamie reportedly hasn’t had a single health problem since birth.

“It’s absolutely astounding. This whole experience makes you cherish them more,” stated Kate.
