More songs for "American Horror Story" season 5?
Following Jessica Lange's leaving the "American Horror Story" anthology, recent speculations reveal that Mama Monster Lady Gaga will bring more singing into season 5 and that new cast member Matt Bomer will not be her love interest but Cheyenne Jackson's --- another gay couple come release date?
During the recent PaleyFest panel, "American Horror Stories" headliner Jessica Lange confirmed that "Freak Show" was her last season and that she won't be returning come "Hotel" release date. "Yes, I'm done," she said in a report by CBSNews.
"We've had a great run here. I have absolutely loved doing these four characters that I've had the opportunity to play. In all the madness, I've loved the writers, my actors, Ryan and the whole, I mean, insanity of it, shooting here, shooting in New Orleans, the stories everything."
Her confirmation prompted mixed reviews. Although majority took this as a sad news for "American Horror Story" fans, some shared a bit of relief. During her four-year stint with the FX series, Jessica Lange has performed songs as in a cover of Lana Del Rey's "Gods and Monsters" in "Freak Show" and "The Name Game" song in "Asylum." Reception of her singing was largely positive, but there still remained a few detractors.
With Lady Gaga coming into "American Horror Story" season 5, "Glee" series almost ending, and writers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk at the helm, speculations have focused on the possibility that there might be more singing in store for "Hotel."
Meanwhile, after Matt Bomer's basically non-comment about a romantic involvement with Lady Gaga's character, fans have speculated that he also could be in a gay relationship with newcomer Cheyenne Jackson's character.
