British singer Sam Smith lost 14 pounds in just two weeks and he credited his weight loss success to a 14-day Paleo inspired detox diet, reports Celebrity Health Fitness.

The 22-year old Grammy Award winner has documented his weight loss in Instagram. He also mentioned about his nutritionist, Amelia Freer.

"Three weeks ago I met a woman who has completely changed my life. Amelia Freer has helped me lose over a stone in 2 weeks and has completely transformed my relationship with food. Everyone go check out her incredible book, and start to live healthy," Sam wrote in his social media account.

His nutritionist inspired Smith to modify hi eating habits and eat more fruits and vegetables which he showed off in his account for his fans to see.

"It's not even about weight loss it's about feeling happy in yourself. Love you Amelia and thank you for making me feel so happy inside and out @ameliafreer #eatnourishglow," he added.

Aside from his diet, he went to the gym to get toned and exercise too. The combination of healthy eating and an active lifestyle is the key to a weight loss success.

Meanwhile, Freer, author of the famous book, Eat Nourish Glow, mainly focused on a gluten-free Paleo diet that entails eating high-quality proteins like organic eggs, chicken and vegetables that are low in starch. Furthermore, avoiding foods such as dairy products, alcohol, processed foods, sugar and drains may also aid in weight loss.

The Paleo diet has become popular in the past couple of months due to its efficacy in helping celebrities lose weight. It is a diet characterized by eating a high protein source of food and emitting foods that were processed.

Furthermore, they want people to go back to what they call the 'caveman diet'. Eating unprocessed and healthy foods like vegetables and fruits are important to maintain a healthy diet.
