Emma Watson was voted number 1 in AskMen's top 99 of the world's outstanding women. The poll celebrated "the beautiful, talented, glamorous and just plain kickass women who are defining the world we live in."

Second to Watson was UFC fighter Ronda Rousey and "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian ranked third in the poll. Taylor Swift and Lindsey Vonn joined the top ranks in fourth and fifth place, respectively.

"Emma Watson is so many incredible things at once - rich, successful, famous, stylish, beautiful, intelligent, personable, kind. And yet, rather than be content with a life of luxury, she's thrown her back into a serious social issue in an effort to shift the way our society treats women," AskMen Publisher James Bassil wrote.

Watson is best known for her portrayal of the courageous and intelligent Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" film series. The 24-year-old actress went on to take a degree in English literature and, in 2014, became a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. She helped promote the HeForShe campaign and became the current face of feminism.

"So it's fitting that the little girl who was cast to play her back in 1999 would grow up to become a woman not so different from the fictional heroine she embodied... She's helping change the way men think about women. Now that's power," AskMen stated.

The 24-year-old has recently been confirmed to play Belle in Disney's upcoming "Beauty and the Beast" live-action adaptation of the animated film. She has also finished filming for 1970s-based thriller movie entitled "Colonia." The actress also stated that she wants to focus on her career as of the moment.

"It feels like I was building a portfolio over the last five, six years. Now I feel like I'm ready to really be carrying films. I'm really just ready now to focus on my career full time and go full steam ahead. It's exciting at the moment," Watson said.
