"X-Men: Apocalypse" is slowly unraveling and fans are excited!
Latest production updates revealed new photo of the Summers' parents, confirming that the 2016 film is staying true to Marvel comics. "X-Men: Apocalypse" confirms that Alex and Scott Summers --- Havok and Cyclops --- are brothers and that they share more than the same surname.
Director Bryan Singer shared on Instagram a production photo of parents Havok and Cyclops, revealing that the upcoming installment to the "X-Men" franchise is staying true to the comics --- at least about Havok and Cyclops being brothers.
As Comicbook pointed out, Alex and Scott's parents died when they were still very small. Which means either this is a scene when both Havok and Cylops were very young and have not honed their powers yet (which gives fans a glimpse of how the timeline will evolve come "X-Men: Apocalypse" release date), or parents in the photo are adoptive and are still living in time to see the true Alex and Scott Summers emerge.
According to Marvel, the original backstory for the brothers Alex and Scott Summers and their parents revealed that they were involved in a plane crash, which ultimately led to the separation of the family. Test pilot, US Air Force Major and their father Christopher Summers and his wife Katherine Anne were believed dead, and both boys were put in an orphanage. The brothers were separated soon as Alex Summers was adopted by the Blanding family while Scott remained in the orphanage for a while.
However, in the "Age of Apocalypse" version of the comic book, Alex and Scott were not separated, and their father, Christopher Summers did not die in the plane crash.
What this latest production photo revealed is quite a lot information about the possible timeline of "X-Men: Apocalypse." Seeing both parents alive could mean that there will be significant flashbacks from the past that will explain how the main villain Apocalypse is drawn to Earth to cause chaos, as well as the relationship among characters especially brothers Alex and Scott Summers.
Tye Sheridan plays Scott Summers/Cylcops and Lucas Till returns to portray Alex Summers/Havoc come "X-Men: Apocalypse" release date set on May 26, 2016. Both Havok and Cyclops emit some sort of energy --- with Havoc from his chest, and the latter from his eyes.
