"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F" full movie is slated for a U.S. release this August.
The film will be shown in select theaters in the United States and Canada. Funimation has confirmed that the screening will take place in August. "Resurrection of F" premiered on more than 600 theaters in Japan last Apr. 18.
It was previously revealed that the film will be screened in 74 countries worldwide. Funimation hosted the North American premiere of the latest "Dragon Ball Z" film on Apr. 11 in Los Angeles. The company also confirmed that they are planning to release an English-dubbed version of the film in summer 2015.
The "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F" full movie will be screened in select theaters for a limited time only, from Aug. 4 to 12. However, no specific theaters and running times have been confirmed yet. Fans can sign up for updates at the "Dragon Ball Z" official website to be the first to get tickets when it becomes available soon.
"We are thrilled to bring fans - both new and old - this latest film from series creator Akira Toriyama," Funimation CEO and Founder Gen Fukunaga said. "'Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F' is a visually stunning movie and offers even more action and comedy than 'Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.'"
Mike DuBoise, EVP and COO of Funimation also revealed that fans will be taken for another amazing ride with the "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F" full movie. DuBoise teased that they will be "raising the bar for the anime theater-going experience."
"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F" showcased Goku's newest Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (SSGSS) form as well as Golden Frieza. It is directed by Tadayoshi Yamamuro and Akira Toriyama created the concept, screenplay as well as the character's designs. It is the most recent film in the "Dragon Ball" franchise.
