Morning is the perfect moment to set an intention for your day and reset your life. Work, home, and social responsibilities await your day, and what better way to get going and begin than to have a pleasant morning. After all, this is why we greet each other "good morning", right?
All good things and outcomes stem from forming and maintaining habits. Listed below are some doable habits that are tantamount to a pleasant morning.
Have a consistent waking time. Waking up at the same time, or at least the same hour, each morning is an effective routine that boosts productivity. Of course it also means sleeping at a consistent hour the night before. Having a consistent waking time helps set your day at the right foot.
Stretch for 15 seconds. Stretch even before you even pen your eyes or jump out of bed. Even just 15 minutes of stretching can do wonders to how you wake up and begin your day. Stretching wakes up the body as it warms up the muscles and enhances blood flow. It provides an extra dose of oxygen to your body tissues.
Drink lukewarm water upon waking up. Eight ounces of water is sufficient enough to rehydrate your body, especially a full night of sleeping and fasting that inevitably dehydrates. Water lubricates your system, allowing it to carry out the processes it needs to do more effectively.
Read a motivational quote and take it to heart. A positive, motivational quote can help frame your day and lead it to the right direction. Take to heart the message you read and use that as your inspiration for the day. Most people tart their day reading news, but why subject yourself to subliminal stress and tension at such an early hour? Try changing your morning reading routine and enjoy the benefits of a powerful motivational message.
