Twenty-nine-year-old Brittany Maynard who has scheduled her death on November 1 fulfills her last wish in her bucket list by visiting the Grand Canyon last week.

In a post she published on her website Brittany Maynard Fund on Friday, October 24, she shared her most recent adventure: a trip to the Grand Canyon with her parents and her husband.

In a few photographs, she was seen spending time on one of the scenic parts of the canyon, embracing her mother and kissing her husband. She described the experience as "breathtakingly beautiful" and thanked all her supporters in the United States for making her last wish come true.

However, the same post also mentioned that her illness seems to be unrelenting even during her short vacation. A day after her Grand Canyon trip, she suffered what she labeled as her "worst seizure thus far," which left her with paralyzed speech for a period.

Maynard's condition came into the spotlight after she wrote a CNN op-ed on October 8. In the essay, she detailed how she found out she was suffering from a brain cancer known as glioblastoma multiforme, a lethal and aggressive form of cancer, on January 1 after suffering from very painful headaches only a few months after she got married.

However, by spring, her cancer became terminal, and the doctor told her she only had six months to live. This prompted her to take a more proactive approach to dying including moving to Oregon from California to take advantage of the Death with Dignity Act.

Under the state law, Brittany can end her life willingly with the aid of a state-certified physician by taking a toxic pill, which she had been carrying for some time.

She has initially scheduled her death on November 1, a few days after her husband's birthday, but according to a CBS News, she may want to see how her cancer progresses. Currently, she's an advocate of death with dignity, pushing the same legislation to other states through her organization.
