"Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon" 3DS has been confirmed to have Mega Evolution.
A post in Serebii last week confirmed that the first images from Japan's CoroCoro Comic have leaked details about "Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon" 3DS. The first picture contained the first look at the special 3DS bonus home menu theme for fans who preorder the game.
The other images confirmed Mega Evolution's presence in the game. Nintendo Insider reported that Mega Evolution was first introduced in the 2013 title "Pokémon X and Y." Hoopa Unbound's presence in the game has also been confirmed through the leaked images.
The "Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon" 3DS release date will be this Sep. 17 in Japan. It will be priced at about $39 for either the package edition or download edition. The game will be released in North America this winter and is slated for a European release next spring.
The roguelike video game will have changing dungeon layouts. Players can battle alongside the different types of Pokémon to save the world from a massive crisis. It will also feature all 720 Pokémon that appeared in the game series up until now, including all Legendary and Mythical Pokémon.
Japanese fans can preorder the game as early as Jul. 4. Early buyers can expect a few bonuses. Fans who buy a physical copy of the game can expect a set of 3D stickers illustrated by series creator Ken Sugimori along with a home screen theme. Those who will purchase the game digitally will get two home screen themes for their Nintendo 3DS.
The "Pokémon Z" release date may be delayed because of "Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon." iDigitalTimes reported that a "Pokémon Z" game will most likely be released in 2016 since the upcoming "Super Mystery Dungeon" game will be released in the later part of 2015. The earliest release date will reportedly be at Feb. 2016.
