After the recent release of "Love Is Your Name," news suggests that Aerosmith members are not thrilled about the new Steven Tyler album. Frontman defends his first solo, country-music inspired collection.

Aerosmith is among the classic rock n' roll bands that have been able to withstand the test of time. While other members of the band including Joe Perry have unleashed their solo albums throughout the years, it seems as though frontman Steven Tyler's upcoming new album has been taking unnecessary heat.

In an interview with RollingStone, Steven Tyler shared Aerosmith members' reaction to his upcoming solo album. "I'm sure they're not happy," Tyler said. "But Joe [Perry] has done five solo albums. I just thought, 'Hey, it's my turn in the barrel.'"

"This is a side project, which has now turned into a love of life. I think we got something here that the radio would love to play. Look, that's why I'm in it. I love to take the f***ing power to wow to the 100th degree. It's just what I do," added the rock legend.

While Steven Tyler is busy with his new album, he also shared how the other Aerosmith members are dealing with his "side project" in terms of their relation to one another. "Better than ever. There's always the past, but we try and keep the past out of it," Tyler said.

New album aside, Steven Tyler is and will always be Aerosmith---as does the other members. "It's a band, and it's a family," added Tyler. "I'll do it until I come screeching to a halt, all broken and battered and can't stand up anymore. I'll scream, 'Yee-haw, what a ride!'"

"Love Is Your Name" is the first song from the new Steven Tyler album and has "debuted at No. 33 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart," according to a report by UltimateClassicRock.
