The English Dub for "Dragon Ball Super" episodes may be coming soon.
Funimation has hinted that they are currently negotiating with Toei Animation to do the English dub for "Dragon Ball Super" episodes. In an interview at Comic-Con, Justin Cook from Funimation admitted that he has seen the first episodes.
When asked whether Funimation has been in contact with Toei Animation, Cook revealed that "There have been a lot of pleases." He said that Funimation will get the rights to do the English dub for "Dragon Ball Super" episodes. They are currently doing the dub for "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F."
During V-Jump Channel's "Dragon Ball Super Complete Showcase Event," a message from Akira Toriyama revealed more details about his latest anime series. "'Dragon Ball Super' is a complete continuation of the Majin Buu story arc," Toriyama stated.
"It's got a bit of post-battle aftermath, continues with the 'Battle of Gods' arc where the God of Destruction Beerus appears and the 'Revival of F' arc where Freeza comes back to life, and then, I've written a strange new story where they finally depart from this universe."
Toriyama also confirmed that Goku and other "Dragon Ball Super" characters are chasing after giant Super Dragon Balls. Furthermore, since it's another universe, there will be new characters coming up in the series. The "Dragon Ball Z" creator admitted that he is looking forward to creating the necessary character designs.
"Dragon Ball Super" episodes 1 and 2 have premiered in Japan. There was not much action "Dragon Ball Super" episode 1. The second episode focused on Vegeta, Trunks and Bulma as they go on vacation.
The rest of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 2 focused on Beerus and Whis where the God of Destruction wants to find a new challenger to fight. The end of the episode showed Beerus talking about his visions of a "Super Saiyan God" existing somewhere in the universe.
