Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj dissed each other during MTV VMAs 2015.
HollywoodLife.com reported that Nicki Minaj threw shade at Miley Cyrus when she accepted her award for Best Hip Hop Video. After giving her acceptance speech, the "Anaconda" artist called Cyrus a "b---h" with an angry look on her face.
"Now, back to this b--, that had a LOT to say about me the other day in the press," Nicki said. "Miley, what's good?!"
The "Wrecking Ball" singer seemed to be momentarily taken aback from the blatant shade but she also replied with harsh words of her own. "We all do interviews and we all know how they manipulate sh-," Cyrus said. "Nicki, congratu-f-ing-lations."
The Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj fight started when the VMA 2015 host was asked to comment on Minaj's outburst when the nominees were announced for Video of the Year. The "Wrecking Ball" artist commented that Nicki's response to Taylor Swift was impolite and selfish.
"What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind," she told The New York Times. "It's not very polite. I think there's a way you speak to people with openness and love. You don't have to start this pop star against pop star war."
Miley Cyrus' parents, Bill and Tish, witnessed everything. The couple seemed to be mortified as they watched the incident occur during the MTV VMAs. Miley even made fun of herself, saying that she also lost the in the awards event but was able to make her mark on the VMA stage.
"I lost this award back in 2008 and I was fine with it, whatever, because it's no big deal," the VMA 2015 host said. "It's just an award and I persevered."
Two Australian designers have accused Miley Cyrus' VMA outfits as a rip-off of their work. Mashable reported that Cami James and Nadia Napreychikov, from Melbourne-based Di$count Universe (DU), claimed that the designs on the "Wrecking Ball" singers outfits and her back-up dancers were stolen from their works.
The glittery costumes were designed by Brad Callahan, or BCalla, in collaboration with Cyrus' stylist Simone Harouche.
