Sierra Leone declared a new measure to fight against Ebola virus spreading. For three days from September 19 to September 21, everybody should stay home as 7,000 health and community workers go door to door to root out Ebola virus infected patients.

Some citizens are calling and asking the health community workers, some questions about any information about Ebola virus symptoms which means some of them are still holding the Ebola virus infected patients, may be at their house.

On Saturday, one representative of an unknown agency voiced that these measures are somewhat ineffective and a group of doctor warned that the lock-down could make the case worse.

However, the United Nation officials supported the idea of the three day house to house medical check up and survey.

The Unicef representative of the country Mr. Roeland Monasch said that, "three days we will go house to house to reach every household". He also stated that the reality is that the fight against the spreading of Ebola virus is not won by clinic checkups, but by a house to house campaign- stop transmission at the family level.

Last Friday, The World Health Organization revealed that the Ebola death toll in West Africa has reached up to 2,000 for confirmed cases and 2,097 for suspected deaths at the time that no one is abating that the Ebola virus is spreading. About 491 deaths have been recorded in Sierra Leone. Recently, funds from international donors and other agencies were given to Sierra Leone's burial workers and nurses, 150.00 dollars per week, as an incentive payment.

In a related note, three Canadian scientists who were working to help with the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone evacuated the country back to Canada due to the worsening condition of the outbreak in the Sierra Leone.

While the Public Health Agency of Canada says that the scientists are healthy and they show no signs of the disease or any of its earliest symptoms, they will undergo a period of isolation and quarantine to guarantee their health.

The names of the scientists have not been released for their safety and privacy.
