"Dragon Ball Super" episode 23 will see the return of Goku and Vegeta to Earth.
The trailer for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 23 opened with Gohan, who seemed like he was having difficulty in defeating Frieza and his army. Next, a scene with Goku and Vegeta were shown briefly.
In the "Dragon Ball Super" episode 23 trailer, Vegeta was seen beating Tagoma up. Afterwards, Frieza can be seen powering up in front of the Saiyan Prince and Goku.
It is possible that this could be Frieza's golden form which was revealed in the "Resurrection of F" movie. However, the trailer only showed the villain in his fourth form.
Kdramastars reported that there are speculations indicating that the fight will happen without Goku and Vegeta transforming to their Super Saiyan Blue form as well as Frieza's golden form.
According to International Business Times, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 23 is entitled "Earth! Gohan! A Desperate Situation! Hurry back Son Goku!" The publication noted that the upcoming installment of the series will see Goku and Vegeta facing off against Frieza and his army.
It was previously reported that "Dragon Ball Super" episode 22 featured new content which did not happen in the "Resurrection of F" movie. Goten, Trunks and Captain Ginyu made their appearance in this week's installment.
Piccolo's arm was ripped by Tagoma. Fortunately, he was able to regenerate it back. Super Saiyan Gotenks was able to knock out Frieza's henchman, who exchanged bodies with Captain Ginyu.
Gohan is the only one who was able to defeat Ginyu/Tagoma with his Super Saiyan form. "Dragon Ball Super" episode 22 ended with a fatal blast which Piccolo takes.
iSchoolGuide noted that fans of the series quickly pointed out the similarities in "Dragon Ball Super" and the "Resurrection of F" movie. The show has been criticized for rehashing content from "Battle of Gods" as well.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 23 will be aired on Dec. 13, 2015.
