Could there be an impending "Narcos" season 2 release date delay?

New reports are claiming that the show is experiencing some troubles with its showrunners.  Right after one of its showrunners left, the second one followed suit, leaving the show with no one on the showrunner seat.

"Per Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Adam Fierro will step down from the series after early work on the Season 2 writers room, Fierro having previously stepped in for Chris Brancato," Screen Crush reported.

"Intriguingly however, writer-producers José Padilha and Eric Newman will return as EPs to lead the a team of writers.

It was previously mentioned that "Narcos" season 2 is slated for an Aug. 2016 return, but with the sudden turn of events, fans can only hope that cast and crew will be able to stick with their ideal timeline.

Meanwhile, earlier reports have already teased that the show will take on a slower pace considering how a lot of things happened in season 1.

As for Wagner Moura, who plays Pablo Escobar on the show, he recently shared some personal experiences and insights on the previous run in a Reddit AMA.

"I really enjoyed doing the last scenes in La Catedral during the final episodes (9 and 10)," he said.

"On those episodes it was a different Pablo, he had changed... and that aims to what we are doing in the second season."

According to Deadline, Eric Lange has been chosen to play a CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) agent.

"This solidifies the speculations that in the second season, Narcos will be showing the joint operations between the United States and the Columbian police in trying to catch the elusive Pablo Escobar who was able to hide from them for more than a year," Crossmap added.
