Developers of the game based on Eiichiro Oda's popular manga series have revealed "One Piece: Burning Blood" gameplay details.

In an interview with PlayStationLifeStyle.net, series producer Koji Nakajima and game director Hiroyuki Kaneko talked about the "One Piece: Burning Blood" gameplay details. The fighting game is based on Oda's popular manga series.

The game developers revealed that the "One Piece: Burning Blood" gameplay focuses on the series' adventures. "This particular type of gameplay, though, is focusing on original fighting scene," they said.

"Usually Luffy is seen fighting against a strong enemy each episode, and sometimes he's fighting against a fusion of enemies. We tried to approach that situation in this title."

In the "One Piece: Burning Blood" gameplay, the developers also "tried to reproduce the detail of Devil Fruit." Players can create Devil Fruit, similar to "Pirate Warriors," as well as original combos.

"We could create the detail, effect and expression of ability in this game," they revealed.

Only the game's text will be localized for each country. It was previously reported that "One Piece: Burning Blood" will be available in 12 languages.

The fighting game will still have Japanese voiceovers since the developers want to create the original atmosphere of the series by using the voice actors from the anime.

The developers teased that fans should watch out for the final list of "One Piece: Burning Blood" characters. "We plan to have a big roster, so stay tuned," they said.

Confirmed "One Piece: Burning Blood" characters are X Drake, Franky, Smoker, Roronoa, Zoro, Aokiji, Luffy, Ace, Sabo, Law, Batholomeo, Doflamingo, Crocodile and Eneru.

Geek Culture noted that the "One Piece: Burning Blood" gameplay's combined switch "now adds a strategic element in which players must select the right team members depending on the enemies faced, and know when to swap characters in and out in real time, to maximize abilities."
