"One Piece: Burning Blood" PC, PS4, PS Vita and Xbox One will have a "big roster" according to developers.
Series producer Koji Nakajima and game director Hiroyuki Kaneko discussed the "One Piece: Burning Blood" PC, PS4, PS Vita and Xbox One gameplay details in an interview with PlayStationLifeStyle.net.
It was revealed that the "One Piece: Burning Blood" PC, PS4, PS Vita and Xbox One focuses on the series' adventures. The developers also "tried to reproduce the detail of Devil Fruit" in the upcoming fighting game.
Players can create Devil Fruit, similar to "Pirate Warriors," as well as original combos.
When asked about "One Piece: Burning Blood" PC, PS4, PS Vita and Xbox One's final roster, Nakajima and Kaneko were not able to give the specific number of characters. However, they did reveal that it will be massive.
"At the current moment, we can't announce anything official," they said.
"But this is a fighting game, so we know that the amount of characters is very important for this genre. We plan to have a big roster, so stay tuned.
According to Geek Culture, the game's roster has been updated. "[It] now includes new playable characters such as Bartolomeo and Sabo," the website wrote.
The "One Piece: Burning Blood" PC, PS4, PS Vita and Xbox One developers also talked about the game's 3v3 melee system. "If it is a one vs. one, then maybe it would not balance so well," they explained.
More characters are said to be revealed as per Nakajima and Kaneko. "Actually, we have some characters that [haven't been unveiled], so it will be a surprise for you," they teased.
"We are also choosing characters that will be making their first appearance in a 'One Piece' title, such as Drake. We will try to draw out the specific abilities and techniques for players to enjoy them in the game."
