After news of Rob Kardashian being diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis came out before 2016 rolled in, new reports stated that the reality star does not only have diabetes, but also have issues with his pancreas and kidneys.
"His pancreas is basically [not] functioning," said an insider as per Inquisitr. "He also has kidney problems. He's very, very sick."
Purportedly, Rob Kardashian was taken to the hospital in Dec. 27 even though he was against it because he was known to suffer from difficulty in breathing, along with excessive sweating.
Evidently, Rob Kardashian became reclusive for the past few years and gained around 100 pounds of weight. He was also reported to have been staying at his older sister, Khloe Kardashian's house.
"Even after his medical scare, Rob acts like he wants nothing to do with the world," an insider told People. "He doesn't respond to texts from people that are geniuinely concerned and checking up on him."
Rob Kardashian spent the first few days of 2016 at home but news continue to say that the reality actor is far from recovery.
"He's home already. He went to the hospital for a little and is fine now. It was a wakeup call," said a source to E! News. "Rob's test revealed his blood sugar levels were very high and doctors told him that he needs to lose weight, exercise and dramatically change his diet, or it will get worse."
In line with this, Rob's mom, Kris Jenner, put her St. Barth's vacation at pause and flew back to Los Angeles to see her son after being at the hospital.
Kris Jenner was on a vacation with boyfriend Corey Gamble along with Kendall Jenner and Harry Styles. Kim was busy with husband Kanye West's new track release and Kourtney was seen with Justin Bieber.
Despite of the sad news for Rob Kardashian's health this 2016, his family is planning on urging him to rehab.
"Rehab might be just what he needs in order to grasp reality and get help," Dr. Stuart Fischer explained to Radar Online.
