Yes, it is confirmed that Emilia Clarke will be reprising her role as Daenerys Targaryen on George R. R. Martin's "Game of Thrones" season 6. However, the next installment to book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" could be a little delayed.

International Business Times reported that season 6 of the HBO series will premiere in April and aside from reprising her role, Emilia Clarke will be joined by two Israeli actors, Ania Bukstein and Yousef Sweid.

Accordingly, Bukstein and Sweid will have supporting roles in the new season but details regarding the roles are not yet unveiled.

In line with Emilia Clarke's Los Angeles Times interview, Cinema Blend reported that as stated by Clarke, season 6 of "Game of Thrones" will allow the series to get right into action and that nobody aside from George R. R. Martin and some producers know about it.

Meanwhile, George R. R. Martin broke a lot of hearts when he announced through his Live Journal blog that "The Winds of Winter" is not finished.  Evidently, the book will not be done before "Game of Thrones" season 6 premieres on April.

"Believe me, it gave me no pleasure to type those words," Martin explained.

"You're disappointed, and you're not alone. My editors and publishers are disappointed, HBO is disappointed, my agents and foreign publishers and translators are disappointed... but no one could possibly be more disappointed than me."

Seemingly, Martin said he's not sure when will the book be completed.

According to TV.com, "The Winds of Winter" might hold some answers on how Daenerys Targaryen went upon meeting Dothraki, or if Jon Snow really died at the end of the last episode of season 5.

George R. R. Martin might not have met his deadline but hardcore fans will be assured that Emilia Clarke will still play Daenerys Targaryen in "Game of Thrones" season 6.
