Is a Spice Girls reunion really in the works? Fans of the English girl group might be delighted to read the news.
According to Stylist, Spice Girls' hit "Wannabe" will turn 20 this summer and Mel B said that the anniversary of the song is a good time for a reunion among the rest of the group.
"I think that it's our 20th year next year so we're going to be doing something at some point with hopefully all of us," the "Lip Sync Battle" star said. "I think once you've had a taste of that you'll always strive for that high."
"There's nothing like getting up on stage and performing live to your fans and to a great crowd. You can't beat that. So I'm always wanting that feeling back," Mel B continued.
According to a report from Mirror UK, Scary Spice spilled the beans regarding the Spice Girls reunion when she appeared on the "Alan Carr's Chatty Man New Year Spectacular."
In line with this, Time Magazine reported that Spice Girls once reunited in 2012 and performed at the London Olympics.
With regards to this long-brewing Spice Girls reunion, Victoria Beckham once hinted that she has no interest in performing with the rest of the girls again after their 2012 performance.
"I won't ever do it again," Beckham told Vanity Fair more than a year ago. "Doing the Olympics was an incredible honour. I was so proud to do it, proud to be British. That was a perfect time to say, 'That's great. Thank you to everybody, but no more.' Sometimes you've got to know when it's time to leave the party."
Purportedly though, Mel C was allegedly refusing to join the rest of the group in a reunion unless Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) would join and "all the cogs are in place."
"Wannabe" sold over six million copies worldwide, allowing the Spice Girls to be in the limelight and be a premiere 90's girls group.
