Newly engaged couple Derek Jeter and Hannah Davis are consistent with being private with their relationship, especially to the details of their wedding plans.
Former Yankee Captain Derek Jeter is known to be really mum on his personal life and his relationship with model Hannah Davis, even before they were engaged, what more with the details to their future wedding, which is believed to be just on the horizon.
In fact, in a Joe Torre event last year at Cipriani on Broadway where Derek Jeter was one of the VIPs, the former baseball star was quick to evade questions about details to their wedding.
"You know I ain't... Come on, man," Jeter told the press (via New York Daily News). And when told that it was the reporters' job to ask questions, Jeter joked, "You don't have to." And he added that when they would be fired from their jobs for not asking, he would gladly employ them.
Derek Jeter, however, neither confirmed nor denied when he was asked if his best man to the wedding would be his good friend and former team mate Jorge Posada. Jeter was also Jorge Posada's best man in the latter's wedding. After being asked, Jeter's only reply was: "I haven't seen Jorge in a while. I've got to see him."
In a separate report, NY Daily News said that Posada is just waiting for Jeter's call. "That's a good question for him," Posada said about reporters asking Jeter if he, indeed, was the best man if Jeter weds Hannah Davis.
Posada added, "I'm happy for him. She's [Hannah Davis] amazing. We love her. We look forward to that [wedding] day."
Posada also said that although he didn't know about Jeter's plan of popping the question, he's glad that it finally happened. Jeter only informed Posada after he proposed to Davis. "No, he texted me. He texted, 'I just got engaged,'" he said.
"I was just hoping that he's happy. It looks like he's happy," Posada added.
