This year, Jeep is celebrating its 75th anniversary by coming out with special editions of each model in its lineup and one of these is the 2016 Wrangler Unlimited that can be had in Sarge Green, according to Yahoo Auto.

"Jeep vehicles have defined the authentic SUV and set the benchmark for off-road capability and freedom since they were first produced in 1941," said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand - FCA Global.

The brand's original builders, Willys-Overland MB won a contract in 1941 to produce in sixty days, an all terrain utility vehicle. After World War II, soldiers wanted a civilian version and little did the makers know that many years later, their brand would become a timeless automotive icon.

The brand is offering three exclusive shades of Green and contrasting orange exterior accents, for the special editions to stand out. Standard color palettes are also available but only a small selection and each vehicle has a special anniversary badge. The other shades of green offered are Recon Green and Jungle Green.

The two-door 2016 Jeep Wrangler 75th Anniversary edition starts at $35,570, while the Unlimited model retails for approximately $40,000, reported AutoWeek.

They come in 17-inch, bronze-colored wheels, body color grille, rock rails, leather seats, power dome hood with vents and Dana front and rear axles, complete with a rear locker. Among other colors, the vehicle's Goodyear Silent Armor tires are offered in Sarge Green and a 6.5-inch touch screen is standard.

The Grand Cherokee comes with special cloth seat inserts, black glossy accent pieces and a unique front fascia.

Cherokee buyers can expect a dual-pane sunroof and the same cloth inserts. On the other hand, the Renegade has a MySky open-air roof system and a Beats Audio system. Compass fans get a remote start, power sunroof and a light-bronze interior paint on the bezel, revealed Motor Authority.

Meanwhile, the Partriot version comes with a 2.4-liter engine, paired with the six-speed automatic gearbox. The Compass utilizes the same powertrain.

All 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Jeeps are available at dealerships by March, including the 2016 Wrangler Unlimited.
