After news of Rob Kardashian having diabetes broke out in early 2016, his family, friends and almost all of the showbiz industry were startled.
Apparently, Rob Kardashian has diabetic ketoacidosis and had been reclusive during his diagnosis. He was also reported to have gained weight.
"He's very overweight and hasn't been working out," said a source to ET Online. "The diabetes diagnoses come as no surprise. He has been warned about this for years and never did anything to prevent it."
"The family is worried about him, but at the same time, they're glad this wake-up call has come," added the source. "It could have been something a lot worse that happened to him, and they're hoping he finally gets better with new medication."
Rob Kardashian was also reportedly no longer living with older sister Khloe Kardashian. He moved into his own condominium in Calabasas.
Since older sister Khloe has her own bouts of gaining weight in the past, she gave her brother an advice that she lives by -- get revenge with a hot bod to get over a breakup, as reported by Life and Style Magazine.
"I told Rob a while back: the best form of revenge is a good body," Khloe wrote.
"It's a little silly but true. There is literally no downfall to working out your blues in the gym! You'll feel better and the by product will be a fierce bod that's bound to make your ex do a double-take."
Meanwhile, In Touch Weekly reported that momager Kris Jenner bribed Rob to get into rehab.
Jenner allegedly offered her son $1 million to get into treatment since she sees Rob's health crisis as a potential rating booster for "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
"She has ordered a private chef for him, as well as a team consisting of a psychologist, nutritionist and therapist," said an unknown source. "She has basically done everything except for actually going to deal with his situation in person."
In line with these news, Khloe Kardashian stated that Rob Kardashian has gone into a major "transformation" since his battle with diabetes before the onset of 2016.
