BFFs Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence may host the next Golden Globes.

This year, Ricky Gervais returned after a three-year break and hosted the Golden Globes 2016 ceremony. However, according to TIME, people are ready for a new face or faces to lead the ceremony.

"It wasn't offensive, which is what he wanted it to be," TIME's TV critic Daniel D'Addario wrote about Gervais' hosting. "It was just a bore."

The publication went on to suggest other possible hosts for Golden Globes 2017. First up on the list are BFFs Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence, adding that the two women are similar to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler who hosted the awards ceremony for two years in a row.

"Not only are both women funny, but their close friendship allows them to play off each other in a way that's reminiscent of two much beloved hosts of Golden Globes past," the website wrote.

Other suggestions were Eva Longoria and America Ferrera, the cast of the new "Ghostbusters" movie, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, Jessica Williams, Tig Notaro as well as another stint by Poehler and Fey.

In a report by Deadine, Gervais confirmed that he has been asked to host next year's Golden Globes. No official announcements have been made yet, though.

"What's great is that NBC and the HFPA let me do whatever I want," he said. "That is what's so cool and great about them. And I wouldn't have it any other way."

Meanwhile, Amy Schumer's boyfriend, Chicago-based furniture designer Ben Hanisch, has gained Jennifer Lawrence's approval.

The "Hunger Games" actress, who won the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy in her performance for "Joy," revealed her thoughts on her BFF's boyfriend.

"Ben's great. Ben is like hot and like when I first saw him I was like 'Ohhh,'" Lawrence told Extra. "He's like super sweet, he does not have to be that nice 'cause he's hot."
