"Dragon Ball Super" episode 27 has been aired and it showed the end of the "Resurrection of F" saga for the series.

Attack of the Fanboy reported that "Dragon Ball Super" episode 27 featured the fight between Vegeta and Frieza. The latest installment in the series also marked the end of the "Resurrection of F" saga. The "Champa" arc will begin next week with episode 28.

It was previously reported that "Dragon Ball Super" episode 26 showed the conclusion of Goku and Frieza's fight. The episode ended with Vegeta stepping in to help Goku before Golden Frieza kills him off.

Episode 26 also revealed that Frieza cannot sustain his Golden form for long periods of time since he uses too much power for it.

In "Dragon Ball Super" episode 27, the Saiyan Prince showed off his true power with his Super Saiyan Blue form. Goku explained how Vegeta attained that form.

Unlike Goku who needed the help of other Saiyans to achieve his Super Saiyan Blue form, Vegeta achieved the powerful transformation through his own will power alone. The Saiyan Prince did train with Whis longer than Goku.

AOTFB commented that Vegeta and Frieza had an epic fight scene that felt "more heavy and personal" than its portrayal in "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F." However, the sequence ended abruptly since the series seemed to rush through the current arc.

The "Dragon Ball Super" episode 27 trailer also showed Frieza unleashing a powerful energy beam towards Earth. International Business Times reported that the villain did decide to destroy the planet.

Fortunately, Whis was able to protect the other characters and reverse time. Goku also got another chance to attack Frieza. He powered up to his Super Saiyan Blue form and kills the Golden villain once and for all with his Kamehameha wave.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 27 did not show Piccolo being revived using the Namekian Dragon Balls, though. New content will be featured next week with the beginning of the "Champa" arc.
