It has been earlier reported that the "Hollaback Girl" singer, Gwen Stefani, will apparently be returning to "The Voice" as the singing reality competition returns on-air this February for its season 10, but not as one of the four coaches.
As beforehand reported, Gwen Stefani will supposedly be welcomed back to "The Voice" season 10, as a mentor on her boyfriend Blake Shelton's team.
"We'd love to see Gwen back [on 'The Voice']," said Paul Telegdy, NBC's Entertainment President of Alternative & Late Night Programming, according to Inquisitr. "She's a great friend of this network, we love her, the audience loves her, and lots of people love her."
An anonymous insider reportedly revealed that the producers who developed the said arrangement, considers it as a win-win situation, as noted by Morning Ledger.
However, Christina Aguilera, who has been a long-time coach on "The Voice" with a periodic season off and will reportedly return to season 10 instead of Gwen Stefani, is allegedly not that glad about the said arrangement.
"Christina said that it was her show and gave a really big spiel about how she thinks that Gwen used [her romance with Shelton] to try and stay on the show," a source told Radar Online, as noted on the same report. "Now people are dreading [the return of Aguilera]."
What's more, the source further revealed that the supervisors behind "The Voice" were allegedly left with no choice about their decision of Gwen Stefani coming back to the show, as her beau and fellow judge reportedly "threw a huge hissy fit and told them he was considering leaving [the show] if they didn't bring her back."
As of press time, "The Voice" coaches Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton, and as well as his girlfriend Gwen Stefani has not yet commented on the said reports.
