Bad News: 'Destiny 2' Not Happening? Rumored September 2016 Release Date Postponed!

Would there be no "Destiny 2" happening? Albeit both game developer and the publisher haven't confirmed anything up 'til now, yet previous bits of gossip are claiming that the release date of the said sequel game would take place in September 2016. However, if new reports are to be believed, the highly anticipated game has reportedly been postponed.

It is worth noting that there has been no official announcement by either developer Bungie or publisher Activision of the actual development and as well as the release date for the reputed "Destiny 2" sequel game.

However, several sources acquainted with Bungie's operations emphatically speculated that the "Destiny 2" game will soon follow, but the catch is that the game's release date has apparently been pushed back to early 2017, according to Inquisitr.

"Court documents published in September 2015 laid out the roadmap for the sci-fi shooter franchise," Game Spot reported.

According to a report from Kotaku states that, "Plans for Destiny's future are constantly in flux, and just last week higher ups at Bungie delayed Destiny 2 out of this September."

What's more, Kotaku's sources further claimed that at the time that their article was published, not everyone within Bungie was professedly mindful of "Destiny 2" delay.

Nonetheless, The Market for Computer & Video Games have noted that one source guaranteed that few new DLC packs have been currently put into development to compensate for the "Destiny 2" delay.

"Fans are hungry for even the vaguest hint about new content, but Bungie's leadership doesn't want to hint at anything unless they're sure they'll actually be able to deliver it," Kotaku added. "It's a tough situation for everyone, exacerbated by Bungie's inefficient designer tools, Activision's revenue demands, a high-pressure schedule, and a community constantly ravenous for the next big thing."

It is worth taking note that the release date reports of the expected sequel game ought to be taken as a speculations, as the game developer and publisher, as of press time, didn't officially announce that there would be "Destiny 2" coming.
