"Orange Is the New Black" season 4 has a storyline that doesn't stray far from the previous season.

The fourth season of the Netflix series won't get a completely new story arc as the drama happens right after the season 3 finale episode.

“What’s cool is season 4 actually picks up right where season 3 left off," said actress Laura Prepon on Entertainment Weekly. "So it’s literally, it continues five seconds later, which is really great because at the end of last season…I was in the greenhouse, and there was all this craziness going on and it’s awesome.”

While the cast hasn't disclosed any full details, like what would happen in the premiere episode, however, they have been very active in posting updates on their Instagram accounts.

"The third season finale showed Alex grasping that Kubra (Eyas Younis), her ex-boss had hired a hitman to murder her," a report from Movie News Guide revealed. "Alex was left in a much-unwarranted situation in the greenhouse and her life was left hanging.  Alex will endure the bout."

Apart from the revelation of the murderous intention of Kubra, Piper and Alex's relationship will reportedly be much better than before, as stated in an IB Times report.

"Orange Is The New Black" season 4 returns with Litchfield prisoners Piper Chapman, Alex Vause, Tasha Jefferson aka Taystee, Galina Reznikov aka Red, Sophia Burset and many others. There are also going to be new characters joining the recurring cast at the Litchfield Penitentiary.

Season 4 of "Orange Is The New Black" will be returning on June 17, 2016.

In other news, the cast won big at the Screen Actor's Guild Awards by taking home the Best Comedy Ensemble Award for the second year in a row. Their win not only acknowledged their talents as artists but also sheds light on diversity as the show has characters from all walks of life with different races, religions, gender, identities and so forth.
