The NBA trade rumors continue to swirl around former All-Star point guard Jeff Teague.

It's understandable because the market for point guards in the offseason is slim. As Mike Conley seems more of a lock for the Memphis Grizzlies, teams short on playmakers are becoming more aggressive.

The Utah Jazz have been linked to Teague according to Bleacher Report.

"At 21-25, the Jazz are still in touching distance of a playoff spot in the Western Conference," BR stated. "They use a platoon at point guard with Raul Neto and Trey Burke, who combine for 17.9 points per game and 5.1 assists, but a player like Teague could ignite Utah's offense, which is ranked 25th in the league."

However, the Jazz's need for a point may be temporary because Dante Exum is due to recover for next season.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks' site Mavs Moneyball has a proposal off left field where they acquire Jeff Teague for Deron Williams.

Williams is having a bounce back year and is possible to cash in at the end of the season. As opposed to Teague, who is still under wraps for a bargain at $ 8M. Most would say that Teague is younger and better than Williams, but MM notes that Teague's All-Star showing was more of an aberration-hence, why he's on the block.

"There are caveats of course -- there's a reason Teague is available," MM noted. "He hasn't been closing games, he's had some ankle issues that has taken away some of his off-the-bounce juice and he simply isn't producing like he was a year ago."

Will the Hawks view Teague the same way? The main reason why the Hawks would be willing to listen for trades is to fortify other positions (because they do have Dennis Schroder at the point). Would Deron Williams move the needle for them?
