Director Ridley Scott has already confirmed that the "Prometheus" sequel, "Alien: Covenant," may be making an early connection to the original "Alien" film, featuring the origin story of Xenomorphs and the origins of the alien civilization.
In a previous report, Master Herald said that Ridley Scott had already confirmed that "Alien: Covenant" will be putting more emphasis on the alien creature, revealing how the Xenomorph (or "the beast" and the bio-mechanoid weapon) was created and for what purpose.
The report further said that, in "Alien: Covenant," the alien's anatomy will be explored deeper and the various stages of its evolution, as well, will be featured: the egg, the face-hugger, the chest burster and the big boy.
Accordingly, a new report from HitFix confirmed that "Alien: Covenant" will be featuring not just one but multiple Xenomorphs. This was hinted by the recent casting call put out by the Australian talent agency MCTV.
The casting call said that the agency is looking for applicants with the following characteristics: 8 to 40 years old; the physical attributes being skinny and very tall and skinny and very short but strong and very physically agile; and other skills including fast in movement, acrobats, dancers, gymnasts, contortionists, and Cirque du Soleil-type of performers.
These characteristics, according to HitFix, are indications that the production team is looking for people who can portray multiple full-grown Xenomorphs. It cited that in the original "Alien" film, the xenomorph was played by the 6'10" tall Bolaji Badejo, a London-based design student who was hired for his tall and thin frame.
And when more specialized physical movements were needed, the film made use of stuntmen Eddie Powell and Roy Scammell. Also, in James Cameron's 1986 "Aliens" sequel, several dancers, gymnasts and stuntmen were hired to play the alien creatures.
The "very short but strong and very physically agile" description, the report adds, may be for young aliens.
