Netflix's hit show "Daredevil" will premiere its second season this March 18, 2016. It was reported by comicbook.com that the series' 2nd season on March 25, 2016 and that the second season's release will be the same as DC's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

However, according to independent.co.uk, the show's release date on March 18 is now final and will not coincide with Zack Snyder's film.

As per businessinsider.com, the Netflix and Marvel project was a critical and commercial success as it ended up being Netflix's top rated and most watched material.

With the announcement of the Punisher joining and will be played by Jon Bernthal, Season 2 is expected to be even bigger as it was announced on hngn.com.

It's seen on ew.com that Bernthal admitted to being a fan of the character. "I was a big fan of the first season," the actor said. "I love the way the first season attacks the comic world and it did it with authenticity. And obviously, this is a character that's resonated for a long time. It's an important character, it's one I'm honored to play."

"This is a guy who means a lot to a lot of people and his character has resonated with law enforcement and military. People have been coming up to me on the streets of New York saying, "Do not mess this up."

He then shared that the second season will be darker. "Obviously, secrecy is key to Marvel," the actor shared. "I can tell you that this guy, horrible tragic things happen, and we will see how he goes through that.

The effect the other characters have on him will push him certain directions. I think once you see these characters collide, it's tremendously interesting and emotionally gripping as well. It's going to be a special season. If you thought last season of 'Daredevil' was dark, we're going to a whole new place."
