Rockstar Game's "Grand Theft Auto" is known as one of the best franchises in the game industry and fans are highly anticipating the release date of "GTA 6," according to Parent Herald.
The hype and excitement, that fans have for the new installment has not died down and gamers continue to ask the developer what will happen to the game's future, especially when they found out that Benzies is no longer be part of the team, reported Master Herald.
Rockstar studio has announced that Scottish video game producer, former president of Rockstar North and one of the biggest influences of the game, Leslie Benzies has left them.
"We can confirm that Leslie Benzies went on sabbatical on Sept. 1, 2014 and has decided not to return to work for the company," stated the company.
"We are very grateful for Leslie's contributions to Rockstar over the last 15 years as we worked together to make some amazing games. Leslie helped us build an incredible team that will continue to create great experiences for our fans. Leslie will always be a friend to the company and of course we are going to miss him but we wish him the absolute best for the future," cited Vine Report.
Aaron Garbut and Rob Nelson are Rockstar veterans and they have stepped in for Benzies in leading the Scotland-based company, Rockstar North, a subsidiary of Rockstar Games.
It has been anticipated that this move will have some impact on "GTA 6" and its release date but the studio has reassured fans that the company will continue to function as it would. Benzie's team has been proven reliable, producing hits like "Manhunt" and "Red Dead Redemption."
Fans continue to speculate about the game's developments and some say that the game will be on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Two around 2018 or 2020. They are also requesting that the studio schedule bug fixes to improve "Grand Theft Auto 5's" gameplay.
Rockstar Games has not announced "GTA 6's" official release date.
